Hunting Areas The old Transvaal is a hunters paradise with more land open to hunters than is found in Kruger National Park. Tink has many concessions and will hunt the one's that have the game you seek. Health We advise taking malaria tablets four weeks prior to arrival. We have a first aid kit and we are close to modern hospitals with modern equipment. Travel We will pick you up when you arrive in South Africa and take you to the airport when it's time to say good-bye to South Africa. Accommodations Ranch style accommodations might be thatched roof huts, Chalets, ranch houses, tents, a country Inn or a Safari Lodge. We guarantee plenty of hot showers and flush toilets in camp. Can I be positive I will have Tink as my personal Professional Hunter? Yes! Specify this in writing with your booking agent and Tink will confirm this in person. This must be requested at initial booking. Tink's time is very limited, and priority is given to old returning clients. What chances will I have to bag game? This depends an several factors: - Your ability to shoot, stalk & keep still in a stand.
- The time you allow for each species and the hunt. We don't recommend short hunts under 12 days. 14 to 21 days will give you far greater opportunities and allows you to visit new concessions.

If a hunter wants to carry a heavy caliber sidearm, fine. If it makes you more confident, then go ahead and pack 'em. Keep a list of all the equipment that has a serial number on it. You'll need this for customs. Upon arrival you will be issued a six month permit to carry your handguns concealed or in a holster. US Hunters can bring three firearms each. Prices, terms, conditions, fees and deposits. Are spelled out in detail. The South African law regulates the hunting industry, and all contracts are required to be in writing. You will know all the costs before the hunt starts. If a price list is missing, fax us at: 1-301-369-3069 A 50% deposit of your daily rate is required to book your safari.Figure your total daily rates, and send us a check for one half that amount. When the deposit is received, your hunt is booked solid. Your hunt will start on the agreed upon date. Do I save money dealing direct rather than through a booking agent? No, you will save money working with your agent. We are in the field a great deal and our agents take care of a lot of details for us. We pay them, so the amount you pay is the same. Having been a booking agent himself, Tink appreciates the valuable services they provide hunters. We will contact you as soon as we get your deposit from the booking agent or yourself. To hunt all the game we offer, requires hunting different areas where the game is plentiful. Sometimes during the year we get game offered to us that might not appear on the price list. If you want to hunt a species not listed, contact us and if we can get the concession, we will offer it to you before the other clients. Dangerous Five BIG FlVE HUNTING is expensive. Call for current availability of the Big Five. We hunt on privately owned game reserves and ranches, so you will have a quality hunt. By law we can only advertise game we have under contract. We currently have Leopard, Lion, Hyena, Cape Buffalo, Kudu, Blue Wildebeest, Bushbuck, Blesbuck/Nyala, Black Wildebeest, Oryx, Red Hartebeest, Cape Hartebeest, Gemsbuck, Cape Eland, Burchell Zebra, Klipspringer, Baboon, Warthog, Bushpig, Grey Duiker, Giraffe, Impala, Waterbuck, Springbuck, Grysbuck, Ostrich, Jackal, Steinbuck, Rabbit, varmints and small predators. We get elephant offered when they are doing damage, and this year we didn't have any clients for elephant, so my professional hunter went down and shot a Big Bull Elephant that had done $200,000 worth of damage with 60 # tusks with his Ruger Super Redhawk and a hot .44 magnum hand load with.329 grain hard cast Bullets. The old Bull went ten yards after a single heart shot. Range about 15 yards. We specialize in black powder, handgunning and bowhunting for the Big Five. We have been there and done it ourselves. Included in the price of the safari: - The services of a licensed, experienced Professional Hunter and a hunting vehicle and his staff for driving, spotting, and tracking.
- Field preparation, skinning, and salting of trophies.

- Trophy dipping, packing, transport, freight, shipping or delivery of trophies.
- Export permits and trophy documentation, permits or licenses.This is done by the taxidermist.

- Personal items, clothing, cameras, batteries, tape, film, tips, gifts, etc.
Hunters are our business Safari Hunting is our way of life! Ethics and Responsibility: - Sportsmanlike conduct is expected of everyone.
- Guests or clients who handle firearms or equipment in a reckless or irresponsible manner may find their safari a short one.
- Rude, abusive, or unsportsmanlike behavior will not be tolerated, and if not corrected, the safari shall be terminated immediately.
- Irresponsible shooting of game is not acceptable, such as long shots.
- All of our hunts are fair chase and we are pledged to PHASA's new Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct.
- Unethical or illegal hunting is not allowed.
- Repeated excessive use of Alcohol or Drugs is just cause for termination of the Safari.
C.I.T.E.S. Hunters from outside of South Africa wishing to hunt Leopard, White Rhino and\or African Elephant must obtain an original CITES permit and present it to the outfitter before the safari to obtain permits. Leopard permits are on strict quota. Please submit CITES well in advance of your safari and allow extra time to process it. Use Registered Mail & Air Mail. Preparation for the Safari Before leaving on your trip, you should take time to practice. Practice shooting from trees,on your belly, sitting, shooting through holes in the brush, shooting sitting down,& practicing a quick 2nd shot.
Practice shooting clay pigeons offhand at 50 to 100 yards.When you book your safari you will get our 24 page Guidebook to preparing for your African Safari free. Air Travel We strongly recommend South African Airways (S.A.A.), especially from the U.S.A. the only direct flight. Any time you change planes, you increase the risk of losing your luggage. With S.A.A. your gear boards with you and is there when you get off. Do not attempt to go through the U.K. with firearms or handguns. Avoid the U.K. when coming to Africa with Firearms! They could be confiscated and destroyed in the U.K. No handguns are allowed on any British Air Carrier. Maximum of three (3) firearms per person may be taken out of the U.S.A. now.
